Enfin, un opérateur qui sort les produits Palm!!! (on entend déjà les nombreux soupirs de soulagements de la communauté Palm en France).

Palm a dévoilé hier son Pixi.

Mobile d’entrée de gamme de la gamme Pré, il échange so clavier coulissant pour un fixe.

Qu’ets ce qui change  ?

A cause du clavier, l’écran du Pixi passe à 2.3″, tout en restant évidemment tactile.

La caméra passe à 2 Megapixels à place des 3 Megapixels du Pré.

Mémoire 8 Go.

Toujours la plateforme WebOs, et sa gestion du multi-tâche.

Disponible aux US chez Sprint pour 99$.

What’s different ?

  • Because of the keyboard, Pixi’s screen is a 2.3″ capacitive touchscreen.
  • Pixi’s camera shoots a 2 Megapixels, one megapixel less than the Pre’s.
  • 8 Gb memory
  • Still the WebOs platform, which allows multi-tasking.

It will be available at Sprint, for 99$.

Selon Medialets, une société new-yorkaise d’analyse mobile, le téléchargement d’applications, à travers la plateforme Palm App, aurait atteint le million.

Ca paraît énorme sachant que 150000 terminaux ont été vendus, soit une moyenne de 6 téléchargements par utilisateur.

Depuis le succès de l’AppStore, les constructeurs ont bien compris l’enjeu du marché. Nokia (Ovi), RIM Blackberry, ou encore Palm sont encore loins derrière mais commence à proposer des services additionnels. Voilà qui devrait faire réfléchir le consommateur avant d’acheter son nouveau téléphone.
