What is the unique selling proposition of this device?

• its screen (Amoled)
• its OS (Android2)
• its CPU (Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor)

Pro-Iphone will say that apps located on Android Market will never value those on Appstore.

Pro-Blackberry will say that for professional use, there is only one brand.

Pro-Palm will say that WebOS is much more intuitive than Android2.

What can really make the difference is battery capacity. Indeed, we notice that today, smartphones battery last only one day …

Installer Preware sur Palm Pré

Préware est un programme d’installation de homebrews (programmes tiers non officiels palm) pour Palm pré. Préware consiste en une sorte d’App Catalog « alternatif », qui contient de nombreuses applications supplémentaires. En combinant l’App Catalog et Préware, vous êtes quasi sûr de trouver l’application qu’il vous faut.

Note : on ne peut pas réellement parler de « Jailbreak » pour le Palm pré dans la mesure où aucune sécurité du mobile n’est crackée pour installer des programmes tiers. Le SDK (kit pour développeurs) est libre, et les applications créées sont ainsi officielles, légales et compatibles avec les mises à jour Palm Pré.

Installer Préware

L’installation de Préware requiert  le logiciel webOS Quick Install (Installer webOS Quick Install).

-          Lancez webOS Quick Install

-          cliquez sur le bouton comme le montre l’image ci-dessous

-          Choisissez : WebOS Internals Feed ( All )

-          Sélectionnez Package Manager Service

-          Cliquez sur Download

-          Et maintenant cliquez sur Install

Maintenant on passe au 2ième package en reprenant les point ci dessus sauf qu’on va télécharger Préware:

-          Choisissez : WebOS Internals Feed ( All )

-          Sélectionnez ” Preware ”

-          Cliquez sur Download

-          Et maintenant cliquez sur Install

Voilà, c’est fini, vous pouvez débrancher votre Palm Pre de votre ordinateur

Maintenant, ouvrez le menu application, et vous verrez l’icone de Preware installé sur votre Pre.

Lors de la première utilisation, Préware mettra à jour la base de données d’applications. Cette opération peut prendre quelques minutes, nous vous conseillons donc de passer en wifi.

Note : Package Manager Service est un programme de gestion des packages, il est obligatoire à l’installation de logiciels. Son icône disparaîtra au prochain redémarrage de votre téléphone.
