“Bada”-Boum or Patatrak ? once again a new mobile OS (Samsung)
Every manufacturers want their own OS. Without doubt, they understood the possible monetization behind …
It is the turn of Samsung, the number #2 of mobiles manufacturers to announce its OS: Bada (meaning Ocean in Korean).
We could see the first device in 2010.
First question: why be a member of the Open Handset Alliance (OHA)? Supposed to promote convergence, all manufacturers are backing up to play solo.
Second question: given the number of the SDK (iPhone, Android, Web OS), is there still share market?
Third question: Samsung is it technically able to produce a powerful OS? If this was not the case, the image associated with Samsung would be disastrous.
In short, Samsung is not positioned as a demonstrative player on smartphones range. Consequently, this new operating system can really be a takeoff or not. Even The Korea Herald highlighted analysts doubts. (yet chauvinism would have lead to the enthusiasm).
