Après quelques mois de vente outre-atlantique, Amazon se décide à distribuer son livre électronique en europe. L’offre peut sembler alléchante, mais quelques points noirs commencent déjà à apparaitre :

1. Seul le Kindle V2 est en vente à l’internationale, pas le DX qui dispose d’un écran plus grand. Conseil : attendre que le DX soit lui aussi en vente à l’international l’an prochain.
2. Les livres du catalogue d’Amazon sont uniquement en anglais. A moins d’être capable de lire la langue de la perfide Albion, acheter un kindle est aussi utile qu’acheter une télé ne captant que les chaînes russes, serbes ou chinoises.
3. Le Kindle est expédié uniquement avec une prise aux normes électriques US, vous pourrez tout de même le recharger sur la prise USB de votre ordinateur sinon il faudra que vous achetiez un adaptateur.
4. Quand vous achetez un livre en dehors des USA, ça vous coûtera 1,99$ de plus par livre.
5. N’oublions pas qu’Amazon a choisi un format propriétaire pour ses livres, ce qui signifie que ces derniers ne peuvent être lus que sur un Kindle (ou sur un iPhone avec un logiciel Kindle)
6. Personne n’a oublié l’affaire des livres effacés à distance. “Amazon ! Je te vois !”
7. Il n’y a pas que le Kindle dans le monde, il y a le Cybook de Bookeen ou le Reader de Sony, puis l’an prochain, l’eReader tactile de PlasticLogic.

Qu’en dites-vous ? Pensez vous qu’Amazon pourra corriger la plupart de ces défauts rapidement ?
